A full-scale mock exercise on ‘Air crash incident’ was conducted at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport by the 1st Battalionof the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from on Tuesday.
Apart from the 1st BN NDRF, several other agencies participated in the mock exercise, including the CISF, Airport staff and Fire service, SDRF, Civil Hospital, Air Force staff and Medical service and the Assam Police. 292 total personnel from the agencies took part in the mock exercise.
A session was also held to review the positives and necessary improvements. The event was covered by the media and was conducted under proper COVID-19 guidelines.
