Latest trends in the results of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections show a close fight between the newly-floated Pramod Bodo-led United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Reports state that UPPL is currently leading in 14 of 40 seats while BJP and the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) are occupying 13 and 11 seats respectively.
Both Congress and Gana Surakhya Party (GSP) are leading on one seat each.
