A new report on the latest untitled Spider-Man movie will blow the minds of film buffs.

If the report published in Collider is to be believed then actor Alfred Molina will be seen in the upcoming superhero flick. Andrew Garfield and Kirsten Dunst are also part of the project. It is also expected that Tobey McGuire and Emma Stone will be joining them as well. This is based on the condition that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios close a deal with Tobey. Emma’s appearance in the movie is dependent on her pregnancy.

Alfred played the role of Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 while Kirsten appeared in three Spider Man — Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 — as Mary Jane Watson. Emma was Gwen Stacy in the 2012 The Amazing Spider-Man.

Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield played the title role for the Spider-Man franchise. While Tobey starred in the first three films of the franchise namely Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3, Andrew was the superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Many fans consider Alfred’s character Doctor Octopus to be the best villain against the superhero and thus, his return is exciting for the lovers of the Spider-Man franchise. Alfred gave his voice to King Agnarr in the 2019 Disney film Frozen II. He was seen in the thriller film Promising Young Woman in 2020.

The characters Electro played by Jamie Foxx and Doctor Strange by Benedict Cumberbatch will also reportedly be seen in the new film.

This will be the third film of the Spider-Man franchise directed by Jon Watts. Earlier, he had directed Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).

Apart from the stars from the previous Spider-Man films, the project will also feature the latest Spider-Man Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori and Jacob Batalon.

The film will be released in theatres on December 17, 2021.
