With OnePlus expected to launch its OnePlus 9 series early next year, there have been several spec leaks and rumours. The latest leak talks about the massive back camera arrangement of the OnePlus 9 model.
According to the live images shared exclusively by 91 Mobiles, there are going to be two large sensors along with one small sensor at the back of the upcoming device. While the primary sensor will be of 48 MP, it is going to be supported by a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is no confirmation about the strength of the third lens, though the portal suggests it could be a monochrome or macro sensor.
Citing a source, the publication added that the primary camera will be able to deliver images of 12 MP (4,000 x 3,000 pixels) output and will have 6 mm focal length. In comparison, the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8T have focal lengths of 6.59 mm and 4.74 mm. Another input the source has confirmed is that the primary sensor will not be the Sony IMX 586. While they are not sure about it, the sensor could be the IMX 689. On the other hand, the ultra-wide lens is going to serve as a major upgrade from the earlier models of the OnePlus 8 series. For example, the OnePlus 8T had a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor.
Renowned tipster Max Jambor has also tweeted to confirm that the renders reported by 91 Mobiles are correct as per the information he has received.
This comes after the same publication had got their hands on the CAD renders of the OnePlus 9. The render had revealed the triple camera setup at the back along with left-aligned hole-punch design and LED flash support. The report also added that the display is going to be bigger than OnePlus 8T’s 6.55-inch panel.
