Manipur: Fire breaks out at Khobung Karong Bazar in Senapati, no casualty reported

Senapati: A massive fire engulfed at Khobung Karong Bazar in Manipur’s Senapati district on early Thursday. No casualty was reported from the fire incident, said sources.

As per sources, the incident occurred at around 4:30 am, however, the cause of fire and damage are yet to be ascertained till the time of filing this report.

Before the fire brigade rushed to the spot to douse the blaze, locals were seen with their water buckets and controlled the fire.

The fire incident place is about a five-minute drive from the district headquarters, it said.

Altogether three houses, including shop godowns, were gutted. However, officials are yet to find out the ascertain the total financial loss in the fire incident.

Locals are reaching out to the affected families through basic relief materials like rice, blankets and household items, said sources.
