NorthEast United FC will begin their Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 campaign on Tuesday, November 21, when they face Mumbai City FC at the Tilak Maidan in Goa.

The Highlanders finished a disastrous run last season with just two wins and finished ninth in the points table. The club has roped in Spaniard Gerard Nus as the head coach and his strong scouting skills have landed them several impressive players this time.

Striker Kwesi Appiah is perhaps the team’s biggest signing this year. Striker Idrissa Sylla, midfielder Khassa Camara, defender Benjamin Lambot, centre back Dylan Fox and Luis Machado will be key components of the squad while old-timer Federico Gallego has been retained for another season.

The Indian roster includes Subhasish Roy Choudhury, Sanjiban Ghosh and youngsters like Lalengmawia, Ninthoi Meetei and Alfred Lalroutsang among others.
