The newly elected US-President Joe Biden addressed the nation after his record victory over Donald Trump on Saturday at his home city of Wilmington, Delaware. Joe Biden of Democrats got elected as the 46th President of the United States of America. And in his very first address to the nation, Biden pledges to be a President who does not seek divide but to unify.

Addressing a large crowd cheering for him, he added that he doesn’t see Blue states or Red states, but the United States and that it is the time to heal in America. Addressing this victory as a victory for “We the people”, Biden in his speech made it clear that his goal is to make the United States respected around the world again.

Biden was introduced by Kamala Harris, who is going to be the first woman, first Black American and first American from Asian origin to serve as the Vice President of the United States.

Addressing the Democrats, Republicans, Independents, progressives, moderates and conservatives; the young and old people; the people from Urban, Sub-urban and Rural; the Gay, straight and transgender people; White, Latino, Asian, Native American and the African American community, Biden said that they will always have his back, and he’ll have theirs.

President-elect Biden was very clear in saying that their work begins with getting COVID-19 under control and expresses the solidarity with all the people who have lost their family members and closed ones during the pandemic.

“We must restore the soul of America”, said the newly elected President, believing that America is shaped by a constant battle between the better angels and darkest impulses and that, it is time for the better angels to prevail.

American Presidential elections have a global impact. Accepting which Biden said, “Tonight, the whole world is watching America.” He added, “America is a beacon for the globe.”

Like many other platforms, the President-elect here thanked his family for their support and congratulated Jill Biden for becoming the First Lady.

Biden said that this is a battle to restore decency and defend democracy and to give everybody in the United States- which he addresses as the land of possibilities, a fair shot.
