Hours before the US presidential election on November 3, some Indian supporters of US President Donald Trump tried to ensure his victory with as havan seeking blessings and prosperity. Almost two dozen members of a group known as the Hindu Sena (Hindu Army) joined the priest, donning saffron robes to conduct fire rituals and chant verses for Trump’s victory.
The group claims to have the support of around 5 million Hindus and says that it wants Trump to be re-elected as it is imperative to keep India’s main rivals – Pakistan and China – in check.

According to the group’s founder, Vishnu Gupta, India can only fight terrorism if Trump is around, and both China and Pakistan will stay restrained only as long as Trump remains the president.
The fringe group has always remained pretty vocal about undying support For Trump and even during his visit to India back in February, had released a song in his honor and asked all Indian-Americans back in the US to vote for him when the time comes.
They had then also organised a similar havan at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar ahead the talks between Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek God’s blessings for Modi and Trump and pray that they can work together to eradicate terrorism as per Vishnu Gupta.
