The ‘Go Corona Go’ fame minister of state for social justice and empowerment, Ramdas Athawale tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. He has been admitted to a private Hospital in Mumbai.

The Union minister,60, got himself tested for COVID-19 after a press conference held on Monday where he had inducted actor Payal Ghosh in Republican {Pary of India (Athawale) (RPI-A).

Confirming the diagnosis, Athawale tweeted, “I have tested #COVID19 positive and as per advise of Doctors I have been hospitalised for few days. Those who have been come in contact with me are advised to get COVID-19 tests done. Take Care & Stay Safe.”

In February, before the coronavirus pandemic induced lockdown, the minister went viral for his “Go Corona Go’ sloganeering video along with a Chinese diplomat and a Buddhist monk.
