Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the inauguration of three development projects in Gujarat- Kisan Sarvoday Yojana, Paediatric Heart Hospital, and ropeway in Mount Girnar on Saturday.
He went on to congratulate Gujarat for the “marvelous” work which the state has done regarding the irrigation sector. He also stated, all these three projects are symbols of Gujarat’s prosperity.
The first development project inaugurated by the PM is Kisan Sarvoday Yojana. Modi stated that people who know about agriculture are aware that farmers get electricity only at night. But there is good news now for the farmers in Gujarat, under Kisan Sarvoday Yojana, will get a day-time power supply as well. With this, they will be able to avail power supply from 5 am to 9 pm for irrigation purposes.

He also added, since we will be getting water throughout the day, the focus should be to save more water. “If we waste water then it will be going to waste. Our mantra should be one drop and more crop,” he said.
The districts that have been covered under the scheme for 2020-21 are Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Patan, Anand,Mahisagar, Kheda, Tapi, Valsad and Gir-Somnath. The rest of the districts will be included in a phased manner by 2022-23.
The second development project is the inauguration of a Paediatric Heart Hospital attached with UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedabad. The PM stated that the main agenda behind this Paediatric Heart Hospital is to resolve issues relating to that children who are affected by heart diseases. He added that this hospital will be of help to not just Gujarat but also to the rest of India.

And the last project is the inauguration of a ropeway in Mount Girnar. It is the fourth ropeway in the state which was stalled for years. Modi stated that this step will create employment opportunities for the youths in Gujarat. Once the tourists are provided with ease-of-living and ease-of-travelling, several circuits in Gujarat can be converted into global tourist spots.
