The Chennai innings started getting only worse as they kept on losing wickets with very little to show on the scorecard. Sam Curran, although he kept losing partners at the other end, played a fighting knock of 52 off 47 balls bringing up his first half-century in the season as he took CSK to 114/9 at the end of their 20 overs, from a position where even reaching the 100-run-mark looked difficult.
