Mighty England all-rounder Ben Stokes is all set to join the Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, after missing out on the initial couple of weeks, who was with his ailing father in Christichurch.

The franchise took to the social media platform Twitter on Saturday and shared a picture of Stokes on his way to the UAE.

Stokes is expected to land in the UAE on Sunday morning, and as per the COVID protocols of the IPL, the England all-rounder will have to undergo a mandatory six-day quarantine after arriving in the UAE, which means Stokes will likely be available for the match against the Delhi Capitals on October 14. Although Stokes might be available for selection in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 11, but Rajasthan might not want to make Stokes take the field straightaway, after the Kolkata Knight Riders found it difficult with Pat Cummins bowling just hours after of his quarantine and registered figures of 3-0-49-0.

Earlier in the summer, Ben Stokes pulled out midway through the Test series versus Pakistan, to be with his father who had been diagnosed with cancer.
