US President Donald J Trump who tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday morning has been receiving treatments of the antiviral drug Remdesivir.
A health update from the White House said the President will spend a few days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre for further monitoring and will continue to work from there.
The President and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for the virus after his aide Hope Hicks had tested positive for COVID-19.
“This evening I am happy to report that the President is doing very well. He is not requiring any supplemental oxygen, but in consultation with specialists, we have elected to initiate Remdesivir therapy. He has completed his first dose and is resting comfortably,” said the President’s physician.

Giving an update on his health, Trump tweeted, “Going welI, I think! Thank you to all. LOVE!!!”

Further, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and Vice President Mike Pence have also tested negative for COVID-19.
