It’s match number 12 in the Dream11 IPL 2020, as the Rajasthan Royals take on the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Rajasthan Royals have been absolutely destructive with the bat in their previous two games as they went past the 200-run-mark in both the games, and will be mighty confident going into their third game, as they go into this game as the only side to have remained unbeaten in the tournament so far, also the fact that they pulled off the highest ever successful run chase in the history of the IPL in their last game, will boost their confidence even more.
Meanwhile, the Kolkata Knight Riders have had a mixed fortune in the first two games of the season with one loss and one win. However, the KKR side will go into this match as a confident unit after a clinical all round performance in their last game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, which they won by seven wickets.
As the mighty confident Rajasthan Royals take on a young Kolkata Knight Riders side, we bring you some of the important talks going around ahead of this game tonight.
New ground for Rajasthan – Dubai
Rajasthan have been absolutely brutal with the bat in their first two games against Chennai and Punjab, especially Sanju Samson clearing the ropes with ease. In both the games which were played in Sharjah, Rajasthan made massive totals of 216 and 226 respectively. But, the big change for Rajasthan tonight will be that they will play on a much bigger ground and perhaps a much more challenging surface in Dubai. Question will be, can Rajasthan produce the fireworks in a much more bigger ground than the one in Sharjah, or will they recaliberate their plans?
Rahul Tewatia has been the talk of the town, since he produced a magical innings against the Kings XI Punjab in their last game, where he smashed five sixes in a single over from Sheldon Cottrell, and eventually guiding Rajasthan to the highest ever successful run chase in IPL. But, the all important question will be, can he show consistency. It would be interesting to see how he fares off against a good KKR bowling line up.
RR top order vs Sunil Narine
Sunil Narine has been excellent against the Rajasthan Royals top order, especially Steven Smith and Sanju Samson. Narine has got Samson thrice where he has a mere strike rate of 87 and Narine has dismissed Smith twice with Smith striking at 115 against Narine. So if Sunil Narine takes the new ball tonight, it would be a great contest to look out for
