As the much awaited Indian Premier Leagues is all underway, already with two involving contests in the opening two days of the tournament, the big two teams from the south, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on each other for the first time in the season tonight at the Dubai International Stadium.
As Virat Kohli’s RCB is in all readiness to take on the David Warner-led SRH, we bring you some of the talking points ahead of the game.
The IPL jinx for RCB
Every year as a new season of the IPL begins, the RCB have always looked like one of the teams to beat on paper, with a number of superstars in the team, but as the season progresses they have always managed to somehow disappoint their fans. The million dollar question ahead of their first game still remains, can Virat Kohli and his men break the IPL jinx this time?
The Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Royal Challenger Bangalore seems to be the top two bowling units in the tournament, atleast on paper. With the likes of Rashid Khan, and Mohammad Nabi the spin department looks solid for the SRH and the presence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandip Sharma, Siddharth Kaul and Khaleel Ahmed makes the pace attack very swing friendly.
The RCB pace attack just seems impeccable with the likes of Chris Morris, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini along with massively experienced Dale Steyn in the side. The spin department also seems good enough with the last minute landing Adam Zampa.
Both the teams have some of the best men in the business with the bat. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow at the top is one of the most intimidating top order, whereas the RCB has one of the strongest middle-order with the presence of Virat Kohli and AB de Villers in the side.
