Kohima: The NSCN-IM has once again reiterated that the Naga flag and constitution must be part of the Indo-Naga political solution to qualify the “Naga deal” as “honourable and acceptable”.
A Joint Council meeting of the NSCN-IM on Friday deliberated on the “historical and political rights of the Naga people” and how the “Indo-Naga political talks” reached this far. The meeting was held at the CHq in Hebron.
An official update from the group said that the house had unanimously adopted the resolution to reiterate the stand of NSCN-IM that the “Naga national flag and Yehzabo (constitution) must form a part of the Indo-Naga political solution in order to qualify the Naga deal as honourable and acceptable”.
The NSCN-IM added that the house also resolved that the Government of India and the NSCN-IM must seek a “final agreement” based on the historic Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015.
In a separate statement, the NSCN-IM informed that the image of its Army Chief (Longvibu) Ningkhan Shimray, MC, alias Anthony Shimray has been misused on social media to tarnish and smudge the group’s name. “Such a social media nuisance is being floated on Facebook by resorting to hacking personal Facebook account by certain unscrupulous person and using ICICI bank from Madhya Pradesh,” it said.
The group said that such an act has been targeting the Naga Army and “recklessly pestering” its army chief to “transfer some money”. “It is understood that this is being done deliberately for the purpose of character assassination as a part of the malicious propaganda against NSCN. The truth shall, however, withstand any wave of adulterated social media contents and no hacking shall prevail over the truth,” NSCN-IM added.
