COVID-19 tally touched 5,306

Kohima: A total of 43 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported on Thursday in Nagaland. Among the new cases 35 persons through traced contacts, three each are returnees and armed forces personnel, and two are frontline workers.

Out of the traced contacts, 21 are from Dimapur, 13 are from Kohima and one is from Mon. Three returnees who tested positive are from Kohima, the other three armed forces are from Dimapur and two frontline workers are from Kohima.

Till date, a total of 2,484 armed force personnel, 1,421 returnees, 1079 traced contacts and 322 frontline workers tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the state also reported 111 new recovered cases on Thursday. Among the new recovered cases, 80 are from Dimapur, 30 are from Kohima and one is from Zunheboto.

With these developments, the latest COVID-19 status in Nagaland is:

Confirmed: 5306

Active: 1193

Recovered: 4079

Death: 10

Migrated: 19

Besides ten confirmed COVID-19 deaths, five deaths are COVID-19 but not due to COVID-19 and another three deaths are under investigation.

Out of the total active cases, 1163 are asymptomatic, 27 are mild symptomatic and three are moderate symptomatic.
