Guwahati: Telecom giant Vodafone Idea has rebranded itself as “Vi” (read as We) on Monday, a combined identity of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular which had merged in August 2018.
Uptil now, the companies were advertising the two brands separately. However, with Vi, it commits to being future-ready to dynamically serve and enable a digital society.
The integration of the two brands is a culmination of the largest telecom integration in the world.
A release from Vodafone Idea said, “VI is built to be strong, ever-dependable, agile, intuitive and a brand in tune with the needs of the customers in these ever-changing times. It is designed to help customers move ahead in life, for a better today and a brighter tomorrow.”
Launching the new brand, Ravinder Takkar, MD &CEO, Vodafone India Limited said, “Today I am delighted to present Vi, a brand that will bring important meaning to lives of our customers. Indians are optimistic and want to get ahead in life. They would love a credible partner to help them on this journey. Vi’s positioning is built around this promise and will focus on meeting the customer needs to help them thrive.”
