Guwahati: India is on an upward climb in terms of COVID-19, as the country registered another 90,632 in the last 24 hours, to reach a tally of 41,13,811 cases on Sunday. 1,065 people succumbed to COVID-19 related issues in the past 24 hours, with which, the deaths toll is at 70,626. The fatality rate stands at 1.72%.
Currently, India’s cumulative coronavirus status is, 8,62,320 active cases, 31,80,865 recoveries. The country’s recopvery rate is now at 77.23%.
India, which has reported the 3rd highest number of COVID infections in the world appears likely to be crossing BRazil’s total tally, to become the 2nd worst-hit by COVID in the world.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu account fot the highest number of COVID infections in the country with 883,862 cases; 487,331 cases and 457,697 cases respectively.
