The Brazil Women’s National football team and the Men’s National football team will now be paid the same amount by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), for representing the national team. Brazil’s football federation confirmed the same.

“The CBF has equaled the prize money and allowances between men’s and women’s football, which means the women players will earn the same as the men,” said the CBF president Rogerio Caboclo. “There is no more gender difference, the CBF is treating men and women equally,” Caboclo further added.

This will mean that now female stars such as Marta will be paid the same as the likes of Neymar.
