Total number of fatalities due to COVID-19 in of Arunachal Pradesh has now risen to 7

Itanagar: With two more deaths on Friday, the total number of fatalities due to COVID-19 in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh has risen to 7.

As per an official bulletin, an Army jawan (44) from Unit-18 Kumaon, 190 Mtn Brigade, died due to COVID-19 on August 27 at 181-MH, Tenga in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.

He was suffering from fever with dry cough and headache since August 12. On August 15, he was referred to MH-181 Tenga, West Kameng from Tawang, when his condition deteriorated. He tested COVID-19 positive by RAT on August 16, said reports.

Meanwhile, a 65-year-old woman, a resident of Naharlagun with chronic kidney disease for the last two years who tested positive for COVID-19, was admitted to DCH-Chimpu near Itanagar on August 25. She succumbed to coronavirus at 10,30 am on Friday.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,709 people have recovered from COVID-19 to date. With 1,029 active cases and seven deaths, the state’s COVID-19 tally now stands at 3,745.
