New Delhi: The Supreme Court has ordered CBI probe into the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The apex court has asked Mumbai Police to hand over all evidences collected so far to the CBI.

A single-judge bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy also said that Bihar government was competent in recommending transfer of the case to CBI.

The top Court directed Maharashtra Police to hand over the cases files to CBI and render necessary services. It ordered that, “Maharashtra Police must comply and assist.”

According to LiveLaw, the court passed the order while dismissing Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking transfer of an FIR filed against her from Patna to Mumbai, and the stay on the investigation by the Bihar Police on allegations by Rajput’s father KK Singh, that Rhea and her family abetted suide of his son.

Rajput’s father had filed an FIR against Rhea and her family members on several charges including IPC Sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (criminal breach of trust) 506 (criminal intimidation),120B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating).
