Kohima: Nagaland has witnessed a slight increase in the COVID-19 recovery rate as 127 more COVID-19 patients recovered from COVID-19 on Tuesday. The recovery rate increased to 47.07%.
Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom took to Twitter to inform that out of the 127 new recovered cases, 79 are from Dimapur, 29 are from Kohima and 19 are from Zunheboto.
With the addition of the new recovered cases, the total number of recovered cases in Nagaland now stands at 1657. The minister had informed that the recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance.
Tuesday marks the fourth consecutive day when the number of new recovered cases have surpassed the number of new COVID-19 cases. However, the total number of active cases in the state continues to surpass the number of active cases.

Altogether 65 new cases of COVID-19 were also detected in the state earlier on Tuesday taking the total number of confirmed cases to 3,520. Out of the new cases, 37 are from the Armed forces with 22 from Kohima and 15 from Dimapur, 11 are frontline workers all of whom are from Dimapur, nine are traced contacts with six from Kohima and three from Dimapur, and eight are returnees with five from Dimapur, two from Kohima and one from Mon district.
Overall, 1548 armed forces, 1185 returnees, 499 traced contacts, 234 frontline workers, and 54 others have tested positive for COVID-19.
