Guwahati: Barcelona skipper Lionel Messi has reportedly told Barcelona that he wants to walk away immediately unless there is a total restructuring of the club.

This development came after the club’s latest humiliation in the Champions League quarter-final.

According to Marcelo Bechler, Messi had had enough after losing 8-2 to Munich on Friday night and does not wish to continue with the club.

According to further reports, Messi is frustrated with the lack of planning at the club and had told the club that he would be leaving the club unless there is a major restructure at the Nou Camp.

Some other reports even suggest that he is not willing to wait for the change and is ready to leave immediately.

With the legendary forward not getting any younger, Messi is not prepared to spend the twilight of his career at a club going backwards.

Manchester City reportedly have been waiting for an indication that Messi will consider leaving and could now have their chance to pounce, while Inter Miami and Inter Milan also seems interested for the same.

Yet it’s worth pointing out that even if Messi does want to leave now he is still contracted to the club for another season and his buyout clause stands at €700 million.
