Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered to Barcelona in a sensational move that would see him play alongside Lionel Messi.
According to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Juventus are trying to get Ronaldo’s huge £28m-per-year salary off their books, after two seasons with The Old Lady. According to Balague, the Serie A champions are in a desperate effort to ship off the Portuguese legend due to his astronomical wages and that they have been offering him out to the European elites, including Barcelona.
As per reports, Juventus’ hierarchy of sporting director Fabio Paratici, vice president Pavel Nedved and chairman Andrea Agnelli with new boss Andrea Pirlo will hold a meeting on Thursday to decide who will be released from the team, out of Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala. Both Ronaldo and Dybala have contracts with the club untill the summers of 2022, but the Italian giants can reportedly afford only one of them for the next season, due to their financial situation.
It is rumoured that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has included Barcelona in the list of teams that Ronaldo could move to.
While an attacking duo of Messi and Ronaldo has been a spectacle football fans have been crying out for, since they both announced themselves on the world stage around 15 years ago, the player himself is yet to make any comment or action to suggest his exit from Juventus.
