New Delhi: The head of Ram Janmabhoomi trust who was on stage during the groundbreaking ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on August 5 has tested positive for COVID-19.
Mahant Nritya Gopal Das had shared the stage with several VIPs, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat.

According to reports, Das had fever and a team of doctors were sent to check up on him. They conducted a rapid antigen test and found him to be positive for COVID-19.
Prior to the trust head, assistant of the chief priest, Pradeep Das, and 14 policemen on duty at the Ram Janambhoomi complex had also tested positive for COVID-19.
