Guwahati: Six more people succumbed to COVID-19 on Monday, taking the state’s death toll to 151.

Among the deceased, 3 are from Kamrup Metropolitan district, and one each from Sonitpur, Karimganj and Dibrugarh.

Informing about the deaths, state health and family welfare minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Six more COVID patients succumbed to their infections~ Late Sanjib Kumar Bhuyan (52) of S’pur; Late Subir Kumar Das (70) of K’ganj; Late Salil Choudhury (58) of D’garh; Late Kali Santosh Bhattacharjee (68), Late Chandan Mahanta (26) & Late Ashok K Choudhury (65) of Kamrup M.”

On Sunday evening, Assam reported 1123 new cases of COVID-19 infection and discharged 1,734 patients. The state stands at a cumulative count of 58,837 reported infections of which 16,364 are active, 42,325 are discharged, 3 migrated and 145 dead.
