Guwahati: Motlesh Ali, who was attacked by a wild bore inside the office of the Directorate of Archaeology here, succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
Soon after the incident, Ali, an employee of the Directorate of Archaeology of the state government, was shifted to the ICU of Mahendra Mohan Choudhary Hospital (MMCH) and was undergoing treatment there for the last three days.
On August 8, a wild boar rammed into the premises of Guwahati Press Club and the Directorate of Archaeology of the state government injuring altogether five persons.
According to footage obtained from a CCTV camera in the premises, one Rajendar Basfor was busy with his regular cleaning work of the Guwahati Press Club along with one of his colleagues when the boar coming from the premises of the state Directorate of Archaeology attacked him.
While returning to the state Directorate of Archaeology, the wild boar attacked four persons, including Motlesh Ali.
Later in the day, the boar was allegedly killed by an angry mob at Marakhali colony near Assam Textile Institute, Ambari in Guwahati, Assam.
