Union Minister Arjun Meghwal tested positive for COVID-19
Union minister of state for heavy industries and parliamentary affairs Arjun Meghwal said he has tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday evening.
He took to Twitter to inform about the development. He said, “After developing early symptoms of COVID-19 I had undergone test. I was found negative in the first test, and the second test result came out as positive today. My health is fine, but on the advice of doctors, I got admitted to AIIMS and I request all those who came in contact with me to take care of their health.” READ MORE
Total COVID-19 cases soar to 2,153,011 in India
The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 2,153,011 on Sunday (August 9), as of 8 am, with the death toll standing at 43,379.
According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 628,747 active cases with 43,379 deaths so far in the country. As many as 1,480,884 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
