On Thursday, the health minister refuted viral messages which claimed that 22 legislators have tested positive for COVID-19 as “absolutely false & baseless”. “In these times, people should not take advantage of the situation and spread rumours without ascertaining facts,” the minister said.
He further said: “Such unbecoming actions only fuel speculations and fear to the general public. Be warned that spreading false rumours will invite legal actions as per provisions of Law. Let us all work together to allay the fears of the general public.”
