Kohima: Nagaland has so far recorded a total of 2580 COVID-19 cases as 82 more persons have tested positive on Thursday. The new cases were reported from three district–Dimapur, Kohima and Phek.
Nagaland Health minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that out of the 82 new cases, 58 were from Dimapur, 22 from Kohima and two from Phek. The minister also informed that the new cases were detected as positive out of 606 samples that were tested.

Contact tracing have been activated and all primary contacts are under self isolation,” Phom wrote on twitter.

On Wednesday, two more COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Nagaland, taking the death toll to six. Although seven deaths have been reported in the state so far, six of them have been established as due to COVID-19 by the state government.
With a total of 1352 confirmed cases, Dimapur leads the tally and currently has 1177 active cases. This is followed by Kohima with 561 confirmed cases of which 410 are active cases. With the addition of the new cases, Phek has recorded 31 confirmed cases of which 14 are active cases.
