Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan with health workers

New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday was discharged from hospital after recovering from COVID-19.

The 61-year-old CM, who tested positive for COVID on July 25, was discharged from Bhopal’s Chirayu Hospital after 11 days.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “I have completely recovered and returned home today. I would like to thank the doctors, nurses and their entire team who always took care of me. Corona warriors have selflessly been taking care of all patients in hospitals.

You (corona warriors) are a form of God. I will never be able to repay this debt of yours.”

Doctors have advised Chouhan to be under home quarantine and self-monitor his health for a week.

The CM was the first head of state in the country to get infected with COVID-19. He had gotten himself tested after noticing symptoms.
