Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has announced the launch of FluGuard (Favipiravir 200 mg) for Rs 35 per tablet. This is for the treatment of moderate to mild cases of COVID-19, said reports.

Total COVID-19 cases soar to 1,908,255 in India
The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 1,908,255 on Wednesday (August 5), as of 8 am, with the death toll standing at 39,795.
According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 586,244 active cases with 39,795 deaths so far in the country. As many as 1,282,215 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
