Guwahati: It is often said that compassion and kindness cost nothing but can mean everything and a vegetable street vendor in Rajasthan is doing justice to the saying.

A video has been doing the rounds on Twitter after user Tinku Venkatesh shared it on the microblogging site. The video shows a lone vegetable vendor selling her goods on the street and feeding a majestic peacock as well.

The Twitter user wrote, “She is rich by heart.”

The woman is surrounded by her vegetable baskets in what many users said to be the streets of Rajasthan. She then picks small grains and puts them on her palms and proceeds to feed the peacock. The peacock showed no signs of fear or apprehension and went on pecking at the woman’s palms all while eating its fill of grains.

Within a day, the video got over 405k likes on Twitter with 1.2k retweets and 5.3k likes. Many users commented on the beautiful relationship between the woman and the peacock. While some others commented on the fact that the bird reciprocated to eat out of the woman’s hands which showed their strong bonding.
