New Delhi: Actor Sonu Sood has been the silver lining for many during the COVID-19 crisis and the problems surfacing due to its consecutive lockdowns. This time, the actor has helped a 26-year-old techie find a new job after she was forced to sell vegetables when the lockdown took her old job away.

Unadadi Sharada from Hyderabad was an employee of an MNC Virtusa Corp but lost her job during the novel coronavirus crisis. These lockdowns have triggered an economic slowdown in the entire nation which has led to thousands of losing their jobs. Her company was unable to provide salary and even could not find a project for her to work on.

She then sells them to make a living.

After her story went viral on social media, a Twitter user Ritchie Shelson tagged Sood and asked his help. He wrote, “Dear @SonuSood sir, She’s Sharada, techie who recently got fired from @VirtusaCorp Hyd amid Covid crisis. Without giving up, She’s selling vegetables to support her family & surviving. Please see if you could support her in anyways. Hope you’ll revert sir,” on July 26.
