Imphal: A Dimapur-bound vehicle carrying at least 18 people reportedly met with a road accident in Senapati district of Manipur, killing one person and injuring at least 16 people travelling in it on Wednesday. One person was miraculously left unhurt, said sources.
The deceased is said to be a resident of Chingmeirong in Imphal West district.

As per reports, the incident happened around 8 in the morning, just before reaching Senapati District Council office when the speeding vehicle failed to take a turning and fell off 100 ft into the gorge along National Highway (NH)-2.
Moreover, the group of people, all drivers, travelling in the vehicle belong to Eastern Motors, Chingmeirong and were on their way to Dimapur for bringing cars to Imphal, as per reports.
