The frontline worker was dressed in full PPE kit while cheering the young inmate

Guwahati: The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted over a million people in India, and over 33,000 in Assam. While a huge number of these infected patients are in hospitals and COVID care centres (CCC), the rest are lucky to be at home.

But the protective measure of staying away from our loved ones also takes a toll on our mental health. To lift up spirits, frontline workers are leading the charge. One such example is from a CCC in Guwahati, where a healthcare worker, dressed in full PPE kit is performing Bihu with a little girl on the tunes of Dehajaan.

Posting the video, Assam Covid Care Centres said, “#ManiramDewanCovidCareCenter

A #Joyful bonding between a little girl and a #HealthWorker. Our #HealthCare workers are putting every effort to make everyone’s time in #Quarantine cheerful & fun. #AssamFightsCorona”

The video, posted on Monday evening, has already garnered 24,000 views in less than 24 hours.

People cheered the lively moment from the CCC. One user rightfully highlighted, “Healing is not always in medicine, it has to be holistic as well.”
