The awareness campaign has a lineup of renowned artists, musicians and others

FLO, the women wing of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organising an awareness campaign on Assam floods on August 1. The objective is to spread awareness of the disaster trail that floods leave behind in Assam every year.

The webinar titled, ‘EVERY VOICE MATTERS : An Awareness Campaign for Assam Floods’ will be held from 4 pm to 5 pm on August 1. It has a lineup of renowned people from the region like Joi Barua, Kalpana Patowary, Abhineet Mishra, Sunita Bhuyan, Zublee Baruah and Manabendra Saharia. The session will be moderated by Rituparna Bhuyan, chief of bureau, CNBC-TV18.

The objective is to create awareness and raise funds for the relief efforts in Assam.

The invitees for the session primarily include FICCI’s pan India Members, around 8000 women entrepreneurs and professionals from Delhi and 17 chapters across India.

Further, to grab more eyeballs and attention, which will result in more financial assistance for the cause, the webinar is also open beyond FICCI FlO’s membership base.

Also, it is the first time that the National President of FLO is from Assam- Jahnabi Phookan, a successful entrepreneur with focus on sustainable livelihood and women’s economic empowerment. Therefore, the national platform intiatied to draw the the nations attention to the massive issue that Assam is currently handling.
