Agartala: Tripura on Sunday registered two more COVID-19 related deaths, taking the total fatalities to 13 in the state.
Speaking to EastMojo, Law minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the first death was reported in Udaipur, Gomati district hospital, second death was reported in ILS hospital.

The 76-year-old, resident of Rajarbag in Gomati district, was suffering from kidney-related ailment and taken to the district hospital where he tested positive for the virus. The doctors referred him to Agartala Government Medical College, but he died before he could be shifted.
The second patient was an 84-year-old patient from Madhapara, Agartala, was admitted to ILS hospital with a lung-related problem. On Sunday, he tested positive for COVID-19 and succumbed at 8:05 PM.
Of the total 2,567 samples tested, including 882 RT-PCR test, 1685 Antigen test, out of which 37 persons tested positive.
Taking to Twitter Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb wrote, “Alert ~ 37 people found COVID-19 POSITIVE out of 2567 (RT-PCR Test 882 all Negative and Antigen Test 1685 found 37 Positive) samples tested.

Presently 235 persons are in facility quarantined, and 3,830 are in-home quarantine. 1,37,512 samples have collected, out of which 1,36,416 were tested.
So far 3,883 persons have tested positive with the virus, while 2,336 persons discharged after they recovered from the infection, with 13 deaths and 1,517 active cases so far.

The positivity rate stands at 2.85 per cent, test per million at 34,124, while the recovery rate stands at 60.44 per cent and mortality rate at 0.29 per cent. 126 persons were discharged from COVID care centre on Sunday.
