Guwahati: Following the detection of COVID-19 cases at Bank of Baroda’s office in Bhangagarh in Guwahati, the bank’s premises have been declared as a containment zone.
Entry and exit to and from the notified zone is barred till the area is declared safe as per the guidelines of Union ministry of health and family welfare.
An order from the office of the deputy commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) district said, “…in the interest of the maintenance of public hygience and to prevent further spread of COVID-19 viru s is the said area, tyhe Bank of Baroda premises, Bhangagarh, Guwahatri, Kamrup Metropolitan district is declared aas containment zone w.e.f. 27/07/2020 until further order…”
Movement of any unauthorised individual and vehicle within the notified area is also prohibited with immediate effect.
Any violation of the order will attract actions, said the order.
