This comes after actor Kangana Ranaut named Rajeev Masand along with 3 others during an interview with Republic TV
Mumbai: Days after Actor Kangana Ranaut said that film critic Rajeev Masand should be summoned in the investigation related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Mumbai Police have summoned him in connection to the case.
During an interview with Republic TV's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Ranaut said that people of the industry are emotional vultures, and they wanted Sushant's career to be doomed. She questioned Mumbai Police as to why Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rajeev Masand are not being summoned in connection to the actor's death.
Further, she called the investigation by Mumbai Police a sham. She said these powerful people are not being summoned, whereas people like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shekhar Kapur are being dragged in the dirt.
Sushant was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14. Following this, there was a huge uproar on social media where the Bollywood gang of star kids and big banners was called put for nepotism.
Sushant's last movie, Dil Bechara, based on John Green's book 'The Fault in our Stars' is set to release this week.
