Agartala: As Tripura government has taken initiative to increase the testing ratio of COVID-19 in the state, a total of 223 persons have been tested positive for the virus on Sunday.
With this, the COVID-19 confirmed cases in the state stand at 2,891.
Of the total 4,175 samples tested on Sunday, 223 persons tested positive for the virus. With this, the number of active cases now stands at 1,113, with 1,759 recovered cases.
Taking to Twitter, chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb wrote, “Alert! 223 People found COVID-19 POSITIVE out of 4175 samples tested today.
6 flight passengers.
30 were in contact of COVID-19 POSITIVE.
8 were symptomatic.

At present, 1,113 persons are undergoing treatment in different COVID care centres in the state, while 262 persons are in facility quarantined and 4,591 in home quarantine.
