Police found his mobile phone and a note, both have been sent for forensic investigation

New Delhi: A 45-year-old staff member’s body was recovered from Congress headquarters by Delhi Police on Monday. The man was found after a caller claiming to be his brother said he is unable to reach his brother since July 17.

Delhi police received a call from a caller who claimed his brother has committed suicide inside 24 Akbar Road. Cops found the decomposed body from the staff quarters

The caller said that the deceased had locked himself inside the staff quarters of the Congress headquarters in Delhi.

“My brother Prakash has kept himself locked in his room since Friday evening. Neither he is opening the door nor responding,” informed the caller, said reports.

When police reached the spot, they discovered that Prakash had ended his life. The door to his room was latched from inside, suggesting no outdoor entry.

Police found his mobile phone and a note, both have been sent for forensic investigation. Meanwhile, the dead body has been shifted to mortuary of the RML hospital.

Delhi police has initiated proceeding u/s 174 CrPc. Police have recorded the statement of the office staff as to why did they not noticing Prakash missing even as there was a less footfall owing to lockdown.
