Trump's navy blue/ black mask featured presidential seal on left; he was seen wearing it while leaving White House for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in suburban Washington

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump was seen wearing a mask during a visit to a military hospital on Saturday. This is the first time the President was seen in a mask public as recommended by health officials as a precautionary measure to protect oneself and others from COVID-19.

Trump's navy blue/ black mask featured the presidential seal on the left.

According to reports, while leaving White House for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in suburban Washington to meet wounded service members and health care providers for COVID-19, Trump told reporters that he has never been against masks, "but I do believe they have a time and a place."

He added: “When you're in a hospital, especially ... I think it's a great thing to wear a mask."

Probably, this comes after his Brazilian counterpart, Jair Bolsonaro tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week. The president of the second worst COVID-19 affected country was constantly dissing the threats posed by the highly contagious virus.

He attened a 4th of July luncheon after which he fell ill. Bolsonaro, said he had taken a test on Monday after experiencing fatigue, muscle pain and a fever and tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, US continues to lead the charts worldwide in terms of total cases confirmed with 32,45,925 cases followed by Brazil at 18,39,850 cases.
