36 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday

Kohima: After 23 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Friday morning, another 36 persons have tested positive for COVID-19, taking the state’s tally to 732.

Out of the 36 new cases, 19 persons are from Peren, 11 from Dimapur and six persons from Kohima. In addition to the 23 new cases that were reported on Friday morning, a total of 59 new cases have been detected so far on Friday.

Taking to Twitter, minister of health and family welfare S Pangnyu Phom tweeted: “Update! 36 more positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 19 in Peren, 11 in Dimapur, 6 in Kohima.”

As reported, 14 persons from Kohima, seven from Dimapur, and one each from Wokha and Phek tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday morning which took the state’s tally to 696 then.

The total number of confirmed cases in Nagaland now stands at 732 ,out of which 428 cases are active. The number of recovered cases remain at 302. The state has so far not reported any COVID-19 related death cases.
