The woman was shocked after she ordered coffee at Starbucks in Minnesota and received her cup with 'ISIS' written on it instead of her name
New Delhi: A woman was completely shocked after she ordered a cup of coffee at Starbucks at Minnesota in United States and received her cup with 'ISIS' written on it instead of her name. The woman named Aishah filed a discrimination charge against the store who took a jibe at the woman just because she belonged from a particular religion.
Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a banned terrorist group known for their ferocious activities against mankind and for their fundamental beliefs with which they have carried out several major terror attacks around the world.
When Aishah visited Starbucks on July 1, she claimed that she clearly mentioned her name while ordering her coffee at the store.
"When she asked for my name, I slowly repeated it multiple times. There is absolutely no way she could have heard it as ISIS. Aishah is not an unknown name and I repeated it multiple times," She said while speeaking to the media.
She was shocked and was emotionally hurt when she got the cup with 'ISIS' written on it. She said that she felt humiliated and a deep sense of indignity.
"The moment I saw it, I was overwhelmed with a lot of emotions. I felt belittled and so humiliated. This is a word that shatters the Muslim reputation all over the world. I cannot believe that in this day and age, something like this can be considered acceptable. It isn't okay," she added.
When she got furious after receiving her cup of coffee, she asked to see the store manager but was told that the incident was a mistake and was offered a new drink along with a $25 gift card.
