Tripura registers massive spike of 112 new COVID-19 cases; state tally at 1,693

Tripura on Monday registered one of the highest spikes of COVID-19 cases with 112 new positive cases taking the tally to 1,693 so far.

With this the active cases stands at 460, while 1,219 persons have been discharged after recovery.

Arunachal reports 2nd COVID-19 death: 40-year-old West Kameng man dies at TRIHMS

Arunachal Pradesh reported its second death due to COVID-19 on Monday. The 40-year-old male patient was a resident of West Kameng district and was suffering from chronic kidney disease. He was referred to Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) at Naharlagun for dialysis and died on Monday morning.

Total COVID-19 cases soar to 719,665 in India

The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 719,665 on Tuesday (July 7), as of 8 am, with the death toll standing at 20,160.

According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 259,557 active cases with 20,160 deaths so far in the country. As many as 439,947 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
