The actor, before his death, was allegedly in a state of depression for six months. If some sources are to be believed, he was often subject to demoralisation and even character assassination. Additionally, as stated by Kangana Ranaut in her two videos which she posted after the actor’s death, Rajput was also a subject of lobbying, propaganda and even was made an outsider in Bollywood.

During the investigation into the death of Rajput, the Mumbai Police had allegedly summoned 28 people from the film fraternity. This includes Rhea Chakraborty, her brother, Sanjana Sanghi, etc. Even Yash Raj Films was also asked to reveal their contract with the late actor.

Additionally, the final post-mortem of Rajput’s body had put rest to all presupposition and claims that the actor’s death was a murder and not suicide last month. The cops initially tried to decipher whether the actor could hang himself as well. However, according to the final autopsy report, the cause of death has been cited as asphyxia due to hanging. The report which was analysed and signed by a five-doctor team also stated that there were no external injuries or struggle marks on his body and that even his nails were clean.

Although the post mortem report stated that there was no foul play involved, the actor’s family says otherwise. The brother in-law of Rajput, a senior police officer in Haryana, sought for a thorough investigation into the matter and alleged foul play. Even the actor’s maternal uncle believes that the actor could not have done such a thing and demanded a central agency like CBI to probe into the matter. According to him, even the death of the actor’s manager which was said to be a suicide was murder as well.
