Itanagar: The Indian Army has started to keep strict vigil in the villages along the Indo-Sino border in Arunachal Pradesh, especially in the state’s Anjaw district.

Speaking with EastMojo, a local from Walong, an administrative town in Anjaw district, said the situation along the border is quite tense as of now. There is a considerable increase in the movement of army personnel at present. We haven’t seen such movement for years, he said.

Chinese intrusions were reported the highest in Anjaw and Dibang Valley district in the past few years.

One of EastMojo’s sources from the region informed that the Indian Army is also collecting the names and contact details of all the villagers who live near the Indo-Sino border.

The deployment of troops and artillery movement has increased significantly in the past few days, the source said.

Following the standoff at Galwan Valley in Ladakh, Army troops were deployed; however, the rate and movement has increased a lot in the past few days, the sources added.

Reports on the non-violent face off in Andrella Valley in Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh was reported by EastMojo last week.

When the nation was talking about face-off at Galwan Valley in which 20 soldier were martyred, a non-violent face-off took place in Andrella Valley.

The troops were reportedly on routine patrol when suddenly, Chinese Army personnel came face-to-face with their Indian counterpart.

Gradually, their conversation transformed into a heated argument. Later, troops from both countries showed their flags and moved back towards their land.

Locals from the area also confirmed the incident and said that these occurrences are prevalent in the areas near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the state.
