The Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Nagaland Police busted an extortion racket being operated by NSCN(K-YA) in Dimapur. Three cadres of the outfit were apprehended by the security forces near Old Showba, Nikheku and Thilixu village in Dimapur District.
The apprehended cadres of NSCN(K-YA) involved in the extortion racket have been identified as self-styled Secy Hoto Swu, PS of self-styled Brig Akhao Zhimo, Finance Kilonser; self-styled Captain Huto and self-styled Leacy Rolem.

One Heckler & Koch assault rifle with magazine, one 0.22mm Rifle, one single barrel rifle, one grenade, two pistols, assorted ammunition and extortion slips were recovered from their possession.
The apprehended cadres and the recovered items have been handed over to Diphupar Police Station for further investigation.
